California PAL Fall Training Conference

California PAL once a year sponsors four days of training on issues that directly affect PAL/SAL officers and volunteers. Training topics such as time management, grant writing, marketing your PAL, risk management and a variety of other topics have been covered at the past conferences.

Innovative training to our PAL directors is one of the many things that helps to set PAL apart from other youth orgainizations. The ability to help an incoming police officer make the transition from patrol to understanding and helping our youth adds value to each local PAL chapter. California PAL is commited to continuing to provide valuable training for our PAL officers, directors and volunteers.

California PAL also holds one of its bi-annual Business Meetings at the Fall Training Conference with the other one usually being held in the spring at the Sacramento Experience. These official membership meetings allow PAL directors to give us feedback on what would help them be successful along with California PAL being able to pass on vital information and conduct organizational business at the meetings.
